I’m enjoying a wonderful stretch right now with my photography, noticing stuff all the time and carving out a moment to photograph it. There are six or seven photos from this week that I’m tempted to post, but I’m wary of letting this blog become — even temporarily — mostly a place for photographs. If you came here looking for words, try two of my relatively recent pieces: 1) “Nibble Night & DeLillo & The Kindle App”; 2) “Abolish the Nazi-Commie Nightmare of Public Firefighting.”

Or if you’re fine with even more photos, here’s a link to some of the others I considered posting. The single photo above is simply a detail of our dog’s neck and back. He’s wonderful to pet. And appreciative. And a great guy.

In shooting this in black and white, my hope was to make the image mostly about texture. I’m pleased with how it came out.

As usual, there’s no need to buy. You may simply click the photo itself and have your way with it. Just remember my name in the morning. In other words, please post a link back to www.davidquigg.com. Thanks.

Also as usual, the italicized words below are ones you may have read in my previous photo posts. If you have read them before and you understand the ground rules for using my images, there’s no need to read on. If not …

Don’t swipe the photo for any of the uses that photographers are supposed to get paid for — advertising, etc. — or else the imaginary team of lawyers that lives inside my head will sue you so fast it will make your feet spin. Threatened lawsuits always spin the head. Figured I’d mix it up a little, make you think I’m just crazy enough to sue. Lawsuits can be averted and payments can be arranged via quiggphoto@speakeasy.net. If you’ve now read the italics on every one of these photo posts, feel free to stop. The words are not going to change. Not even the jokes. The feet will always spin. Never knees. Never pelvises. So read something else. We both know that you wouldn’t steal a photo from me and put it in an ad. Not after all that we’ve been through since that day when blah blah blah blah …
